    Franklin D. Roosevelt Typed Letter Signed as President-Elect. "Franklin D. Roosevelt." One page, 7.25" x 10.5", on "Franklin D. Roosevelt/Hyde Park, Dutchess County/New York" letterhead, Warm Springs [Georgia], January 23, 1933, to Geraldine Thompson, a neighbor of the Roosevelt's and a good friend of Eleanor Roosevelt, which reads in full:

    "I do want very much to see Senator Barbour but as I do not get back until just before Inauguration I fear it is impossible to arrange it. Will you ask him to be sure to come to see me very soon after I get to Washington? You might come with him! I have not seen my old playmate for a long time."

    Folds; toning throughout the margins and slight rust staining from a removed staple. Otherwise, very fine.
