Franklin D. Roosevelt. Typed Letter Signed. One page 4to, State of New York, Executive Chamber letterhead, August 1, 1932, to the Honorable Hernand Behn, St. Jean-de-Luz, France. FDR writes:  "Dear Mr. Behn:/ It was indeed good of you to cable me and now I am happy to have your letter from St. Jean-de-Luz. I had known of your illness, but did not realize how serious it had been and I hope that you are rapidly getting on your feet again./ When you get back this autumn, I shall be happy to have the pleasure of seeing you./ Very sincerely yours,/ Franklin D. Roosevelt."  Hernand Behn was a telephone executive, president and founder, with his brother Sosthenes, of the International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation (ITT), one of the largest communications companies in the world. Educated on the island of Corsica and in Paris, Behn and his brother took over the sugar business of their stepfather in Puerto Rico in 1906 and, while living on that island, purchased the Puerto Rican Telephone Company. The brothers later acquired the Cuban Telephone Company. Behn was also associated with the Bank of America. A decade after FDR wrote this letter to Hernand Behn, when he was the American War President, sadly Hernand's brother Sosthenes Behn flew from New York to Madrid to Berne to help improve Germany's communications systems and improve the robot bombs that devastated London. ITT also built the Focke-Wulf bombers used against British and American troops during World War II. If only FDR could have exerted more of an influence on the brothers Behn.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
