Description
Franklin D. Roosevelt Military Appointment Signed "Franklin D Roosevelt". One partially printed page, 15.75" x 12.75" (sight), Washington, D.C.; September 26, 1936. The commission appoints "Rear Admiral Montgomery M. Taylor, United States Navy, Retired...a Member of the United States Maritime Commission for a term of three years." With a paper embossed seal and cosigned by Secretary of State Cordell Hull. The appointment is matted and framed along with a small plaque and images of Roosevelt and Hull to the overall size of 30" x 34.5".Condition: Flattened folds, with a small area of soiling at the top left and lower right edges. There is some ink transference on the top line of writing, else good.
