Description
Franklin D. Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt Photograph Signed as president and first lady. This attractive black and white photograph, measuring 9.25" x 7.25", features the first couple seated at what appears to be a patio table, FDR reading a book and Eleanor knitting. Each has signed below their likenesses. Very small surface scratches in the upper left quadrant which do not affect the signatures. Matted to an overall size of 14" x 13".The picture was used for the 1941 Christmas card and is printed with the words: "Christmas 1941." In December of 1941, the Japanese launched the attack on Pearl Harbor that pulled the United States into the Second World War.
