Calvin Coolidge Typed Letter Signed "Calvin Coolidge." One page of a bifolium, 7" x 9", Washington, D.C.; December 10, 1924. A letter to Solicitor General James M. Beck on White House stationery. Coolidge writes to ask for direction in composing a forward for a history of the Constitution written by Beck: "It seems to me that nobody could prepare the text of an appropriate foreword for your history of the Constitution so well as you yourself could do it. Will you not be good enough to set down what you think it would be proper for me to say in the form of a foreword and send it to me? I am sure we can in this way accomplish the best results, having in view the desirability of giving it as much circulation and influence as possible." Signed in black ink.

Condition: Flattened mail folds, lightly toned edges, light soiling on verso. Otherwise very fine.
