Calvin Coolidge Circuit Judge Appointment Signed. One page, 17 3/4 x 13 1/2 inches (sight); Washington D.C.; December 22, 1926. Circuit Judge appointment made while Coolidge was President. It reads in part: "... Thomas W. Swan, of Connecticut, I have nominated and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, do appoint him to the Unites States Circuit Judge, Second Circuit..." Signed "Calvin Coolidge" and countersigned by John G. Sargent as Attorney General. Matted and framed, with placard, to an overall size of 25 x 23 inches. Not examined outside of the frame.

Condition: Red seal slightly lifted. Uniform block toning with minute foxing. Frame is rubbed and chipped in places.
