Description
Andrew Jackson Signed Land Grant. One partially printed sheet of vellum, 15 ¾ x 9 ¾ inches; Washington; December 1, 1830. Document granting "John Millhorn of Guernsey County, Ohio...the East half of the South East quarter of Section Nine in Township Eight...containing seventy eight acres and ninety two hundredths of an acre." Signed "Andrew Jackson" as president and countersigned by Elijah Hayward as Commissioner of the General Land Office.Condition: Smoothed folds, with minor loss in the upper-left corner. There is creasing at the lower left corner, with toning, soiling, and slight fading at the beginning of Jackson's signature.
