    Abraham Lincoln Signed Military Appointment. One partially printed page of vellum, 14.75" x 19.75", City of Washington; June 2, 1863. A document appointing "George Wright...Medical Storekeeper...in the service of the United States." Countersigned by Edwin Stanton as Secretary of War. With docketing and green paper seal at top left. Patriotic vignettes at the top and bottom margins.

    Condition: Lightly soiled. A few areas of paper attachment on verso from previous mounting. Pencil notations on recto and verso. Five areas of heavy toning on recto.
