    Abraham Lincoln Military Appointment Signed and countersigned by War Secretary Edwin M. Stanton. One partially-printed vellum page, 14.5" x 17.25" (sight), "City of Washington", August 1, 1864, appointing Dennis A. Moore "First Lieutenant in the Veteran Reserve Corps in the service of the United States." With military and patriotic vignettes and a light blue Department of War seal in the upper left. Handsomely matted and framed to an overall size of 25" x 27.5".
