Abraham Lincoln Document Signed "Abraham Lincoln." 13.8" x 17", one page printed document, signed by both the president and Secretary of War Cameron, dated August 17, 1861 from Washington D.C. This document is a commission for P.H. Durkee to the rank of First Lieutenant in the 14th Regiment of Infantry. It is docketed in the upper left-hand corner. The head and foot of the document feature gorgeous engravings, and the orange seal is still present and intact. The document is in Good condition; the writing is fading slightly, but Lincoln's signature is still bold and crisp; there is adhesive damage and residue on the verso; otherwise amazing!
