    Theodore Roosevelt Typed Letter Signed "Theodore Roosevelt." One page, 6.25" x 7.5" (sight), New York; June 23, 1910. A thank you letter addressed to Cornelius Vanderbilt, thanking him for his part in orchestrating a welcome-home parade. The letter reads in full: "May I through you express my deep appreciation to the Members of the Committee for my reception? I well know all the trouble and expense which they necessarily incurred in arranging such a reception as last Saturday's. Believe me, I appreciate it; and with especial thanks to yourself." Framed with a black and white photograph of Theodore Roosevelt and an informational print to the overall size of 24.25" x 27.25".

    Following his presidency, Roosevelt travelled to Africa to hunt big game and then on to Europe where he hobnobbed with royalty. Upon his return home, Roosevelt was welcomed home with a New York City parade, organized by Vanderbilt and others.

    Condition: Letter has flattened mail folds. A faint indentation from a paper clip at the top left. Bold signature by Roosevelt.
