A loan, "Certificate No. 167", printed by Benjamin Levy and issued to Robert Triplett less than three months before Texas declared its independence as a Republic. Signed as Commissioners on the Part of Texas are Stephen Austin, along with Branch Tanner Archer, and William H. Wharton. Robert Triplett was an authorized agent for Texas in the U.S. as well as one of the prime movers and contributors to the Texan cause. With two X-cancellation cuts at center, minimally affecting the signature. The document is framed to the overall size of 14.75" x 16.75".

Condition: Two smoothed folds, with light uneven toning throughout. Slight bleeding of the signature at the "S". With a one-inch triangle of loss at the document's top-center where cancellation cuts were made.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
