DescriptionWinfield Scott Signature with Eleven Additional Autographs and a CDV. (1800s). A cut signature, measuring 3.25" x 2", of General Winfield "Old Fuss and Feathers" Scott, reading "Winfield Scott/U.S. Army/1865." Together with a carte de visite of democratic Pennsylvania representative George W. Woodward, and autographs from many other notables of the nineteenth century, including philanthropist Peter Cooper, Pennsylvania governor A.G. Curtin, and several others.
Condition: All pieces show age-appropriate toning and handling wear, with some showing evidence of prior mounting. The signature on the Woodward CDV is an identification, not in his own hand.
