    William H. Taft Typed Letter Signed as Chief Justice. One page, 7.5" x 9" (sight), Washington, D.C.; November 8, 1924. Addressed to James M. Beck, Solicitor General of the United States, on "Supreme Court of the United States" letterhead. It reads in part: "...I am inclined to think that the Court will make a good deal of an objection to my giving you three hours on a side. I want to know whether you can not get along with two hours and let the other side have three hours, in view of the fact that they have to make the opening statement and will have an additional man to represent the States..." Signed, "Wm. H. Taft." It is framed with a photograph of Taft to the overall size of 12.5" x 24.5". Not examined outside of the frame.
