    William H. Seward Document Signed as Secretary of State "William H. Seward". One page, partially printed, 10.75" x 16.75", Washington, April 12, 1862. Seward endorses a diplomatic document introducing E. L. Plumber and acknowledging that he is on official business on behalf of the U.S. Legation in Mexico. The document bears the embossed seal of the Department of State as well as the seal of the U.S. Legation in Mexico. The document has the usual fold creases and some trivial toning at the creases; otherwise it is in fine condition.
