Bonaparte's bold signature has been clipped and affixed to a backing sheet of similar size (5.25" x 2.5"). Bonaparte (1851-1921) served as both secretary of the navy and attorney general under Theodore Roosevelt. Smoothed folds with adhesive ghosting from the verso.
