    Description

SIX AUTOGRAPH ITEMS FOR FIVE DIFFERENT SUPREME COURT CHIEF JUSTICES. Consisting of: 1) 2-page ALS, on his personal stationary, from E.D. White (a deceptively tough ALS); 2) 1929 William Howard Taft TLS on Supreme Court letterhead (minimum light spotting); 3) Charles Evans Hughes 1910 TTLA on Supreme Court letterhead; 4) Superb original studio photo of Hughes, inscribed "To Lt. Col. Robert Guggenhiem, with Cordial Regards, Charles E. Hughes," dated 1931. Embossed logo of Harris and Ewing photographers, Washington, in corner of photo. 8 x 10;" 5) 1948 Fred Vinson, TLS, on Supreme Court stationary; 6) 1968 Earl Warren TLS, on Supreme Court stationary. Kind words for the author of a book about "The Warren Court," A.R. Stavig. A super group, all 8 x 10" to 8 ½ x 11" size except for the White, which is 6 x 7." At the risk of being repetitious, we can’t say enough about the quality of the Hughes signed photo! LOA from Spence/Grad PSA DNA.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
