    Queen Isabella I of Castile 1503-Dated Document Signed "Yo La Reina". One page, 8.5" x 12.25", Segovia, October 27, 1501, in Spanish instructing her steward, Sancho de Paredes to convey 12 silver vessels together with a silver instrument for grating to Dona Juana de la Torre, governess to the Prince Don Juan (Isabella's son), for the use of the latter. Countersigned by Gaspar de Trizio and signed in receipt by Dona Juana. There are two cut cancellation marks in the body of the document which have been closed by archival tape. The document the usual natural fold creases and toning expected of a document of this age. There is a small area of loss along the right edge which doesn't affect the text. The queen's signature is bold and the document is in very good condition. From the Judith Kaplan Women's History Collection.
