    Oliver Wolcott Jr. Lot of Three Documents Signed. Each is a Connecticut pay voucher, 6.25" x 5.75", signed "Oliv: Wolcott Jun" and dated between 1782-1784. With some folds and docketing on verso. Near fine.

    More Information:

    Oliver Wolcott Jr. (1760 - 1833), the son of Declaration of Independence signer Oliver Wolcott, succeeded Alexander Hamilton as U.S. treasurer in 1795 and was the last surviving member of Washington's cabinet. These three early Connecticut documents are dated October 24, 1782, to "Col. Hez. Bissell Seven Pounds seventeen Shillings and four pence"; March 5, 1783, to "Mr. Nathan Pat Jackson Eleven Pounds"; and February 4, 1784, to "Mr. Guy Richards Ten Pounds".
