Oliver Wolcott Jr. signs a letter accompanying a certified copy of a United States Supreme Court ruling to Jeremiah Olney informing him of a decision against two prominent Providence, Rhode Island merchants.With the usual fold creases, some toning along the edges, otherwise bright, legible and in near fine condition.
It reads in full" "Sir Enclosed I transmit to you, a certified copy of the decision had in the Supreme Court of the United States in the cases in which you were Plaintiff in error against Welcome Arnold and Edward Dexter. I shall only add, that the fortunate issue of the business in question cannot fail to produce consequences, highly favorable to a due observance of the Revenue Laws of the United States".
