DescriptionLouis Brandeis Autograph Letter Signed. Two pages of a bifolium, 4.5" x 7". Boston, October 14, 1889. A letter to Charles Holt sending congratulations on his recent marriage: "... your cards which came today assure me that you have not omitted to do one of the things which by every good lawyer (and indeed every good fellow) ought to be done. My heartiest congratulations... Louis D. Brandeis." Included is an envelope explaining that the Brandeis had been gifted to another Holt family member on the occasion of his passing the Washington bar in 1955.
Condition: Toning, light soiling, and a few stray ink stains. Tiny separations occurring at very edge of horizontal mail fold.
