Liliuokalani, Queen of Hawaii, Autograph Letter Signed. Two pages, 5" x 6.5", on violet paper with original matching postal cover, Washington, D. C., December 26, 1899, to Rose A. Braendle. The letter reads: "How charming of you to think of me on Christmas day in the beautiful presents sent as a 'token of your esteem and regards.' I shall prize them very much coming from you and Mr Braendle as a memento of the kind friendliness shown by you towards myself during my stay in this strange land. Wishing you and your household all the brightest wishes of the season". Horizontal fold, very good condition. Liliuokalani's 1893 forced abdication marked the end of Hawaii's monarchy. Commercial interests and political reformers, backed by American military might, established the Republic of Hawaii, which, of course, was soon annexed by the United States.

You reach a customer base that is in many ways completely unknown to the major auction houses, and your marketing to this base is as professional as one could hope for. As I continue to wind down my holdings.
