John F. Kennedy & His Original Cabinet: A Rare Large 19.75" x 16" Signed Photo. A glossy print of a U.S. News & World Report photo taken circa 1961, showing the President and his full cabinet seated around the Cabinet Room conference table. Signing are Lyndon Johnson, Robert Kennedy, J. Edward Day, Orville Freeman, Adlai Stevenson (U.N. Ambassador), Robert McNamara, Dean Rusk, Stewart Udall, C. Douglas Dillon, Arthur Goldberg, Luther Hodges, and Abe Ribicoff. Kennedy has signed in the margin at the bottom right, the others by their photos. As is often seen with photos signed with different pens, several of the signatures have faded and are difficult to read. This photo was purchased from the October 2014 Heritage Manuscripts auction, where it sold for $9,375. It has since been expensively matted and custom framed to 25" x 21.5".

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
