Kamehameha was the third Hawaiian king and instrumental in modernizing the country with an eye towards balancing traditional culture with a more Western approach. This document, signed the year of his death, pertains to land on the island of Hilo. The document bears a nice wax seal of Hawaii and is countersigned by Keoni Ana, as Kuhina Nui (Prime Minister) of Hawaii. Modestly toned, with splits in the folds (some repaired), and scattered soiling, else very good condition.
