    Description

Gabriel Duvall Autograph Letter Signed "G. Duvall." One page, 7.75" x 10", Washington, July 31, 1811, to an unnamed recipient. Written in the transitional period from his serving as the first Comptroller of the Treasury (1802-1811) and serving as Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, Duvall writes in full: "Mr. Hamilton left the city a few days ago to make an excursion to Virginia. As soon as he returns I will wait on him with your letter. If I should not succeed with him I know of no other persons to whom an application may be made with any possibility of success." Modestly toned and with light foxing, the usual fold creases, and a small area of loss on the left margin, else very good.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
