Frank B. Kellogg Signed Souvenir Copy of the Kellogg-Briand Pact. Sixteen pages bound tri-colored string, 10" x 13", Paris; August 27, 1928. A complete printing of the pact in French, with the text in English on the facing page. With gilt edges, and signed "Frank B Kellogg" at the conclusion, certifying that it is a true copy.

The Kellogg-Briand Pact was an international agreement in which participating agreed not to use war to settle disputes. The U.S., Germany, and France were the first signatories, but eventually over 60 other nations followed suit. Although it was unsuccessful in ending all warfare, it did decrease the number of territorial disputes. Most significantly, it provided the legal basis for which the Nuremberg and Tokyo Tribunals were tried. From the Estate of Malcolm S. Forbes.

Condition: Very light wear and soiling, with dealer's pricing in pencil on the verso.
