    Educator and Politician Seth Low Autograph Letter Signed, "Seth Low," two pages, 4.5" x 7", Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, April 7, 1884. Written to Col. Theo B. Gates, this letter was penned by the hand of Seth Low, who was an active politician and educator in New York during the 19th century. He was the second mayor of the City of New York. The letter reads in part, "...I desire to make this formal acknowledgement of your courtesy and to congratulate you on the fine [illegible] of your regiment..." In very fine condition; usual folds are present; slight foxing visible on the front page; dark section of toning down the center of the document.
