Declaration Signer Dr. Benjamin Rush Autograph Manuscript titled References to texts of Scripture related to each other upon particular Subjects. This handwritten booklet of approximately 32 pages is 4" x 6.5" in size and includes Rush's writings on topics such as "Universal Salvation," "Kindness to Strangers," "The Sabbath," "Revealed Arts & Human Knowledge," "Efficacy of Prayer," and, interestingly "God's Particular Moral Government." All have various scriptural references along with his comments. In addition to being a signer of the Declaration of Independence, Rush attended the Continental Congress, and was a physician, writer, educator, and humanitarian. He founded the private Dickinson College, a liberal arts institute, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and was the best-known physician in America at the time of his death. Very good condition; light foxing and dampstaining with one small tear at the spine in the paper wrap, yet complete and boldly penned. Also included is a 1948 Typed Letter Signed by legendary autograph dealer Mary Benjamin attributing the booklet to Benjamin Rush as well as a typewritten transcript. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
