DescriptionDeclaration Signer Charles Carroll Autograph Letter Signed "Ch. Carroll of Carrollton." Two pages with integral address leaf, 8" x 11.75", Annapolis, December 11, 1802. The content of the letter relates to Carroll's purchase of $720 of Columbia Bank stock. Charles Carroll was the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence as well as the longest surviving.
The letter is in very good condition; usual folds are present; staining present on lower edge that extends into the body; circular tear in the center of the letter from the breaking of the wax seal. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
