A war-dated ALS, one page, 6" x 9", March 30, 1779, to Gov. Clinton regarding procurement of flour and grain for the army; Frederick Muhlenberg- Pennsylvania member of the Continental Congress and first ever Speaker of the House. Two DsS and one cut signature. All signatures are as Speaker and are so noted in his hand; David Ramsay- an accomplished physician and author of the first texts to outline the American Revolution, also wrote and delivered the first Fourth of July oration ever written and delivered in 1778 on the Advantages of American Independence. An ANS, one page, 5.5" x 5", September 3, 1782, text in full: "If Mr. Ross would be so obliging as to settle the accounts of pilotage he shall have the proper orders from the delegation of South Carolina."; James Lovell An ALS, one page, 7.5" x 11.5", August 11, 1779, [to General Benj. Lincoln], about forwarding an item committed to his care to a lady. Boldly signed "James Lovell with twenty different Businesses calling him from the pleasures of friendly Correspondence."; Titus Hosmer, An AES, one page (docketing on verso), 8" x 3", Chatham, July 19, 1779.
