Together with an unsigned note, "The autographs of John Adams are pretty much exhausted." Likely a response to an autograph seeker. The note is written on a small sheet, 4.5" x 2.5", at top which is typed, "In the hand of Charles Francis Adams regarding his grandfather, John Adams." Mounting and adhesive residue on verso shows through on the front. A few small stains on the front.
