Patrick Henry receives land for his service during the Revolutionary WarBeverley Randolph Signed Land Grant Issued to Patrick Henry. One partially-printed page on vellum, 15.5" x 12.75", Richmond, April 4, 1786. Randolph signs as lieutenant governor, granting a tract of land to Patrick Henry for his service in the Revolutionary War. Henry was serving as governor of Virginia when this grant was issued, explaining why the lieutenant governor signed in his stead. With embossed paper seal in lower left margin, large signature in lower right margin.
Condition: Lightly toned, darker around edges with some light foxing. Small amounts of paper loss along vertical margins. Soiling along right margin, horizontal and vertical folds. Document writing has lightened, but signature is clear.
