Burr, Aaron. Jefferson's first Vice President, rival of Alexander Hamilton who killed Hamilton in a duel in 1804. Partially printed check, manuscript completed by Burr, May 5, 1800, payable to A. Greenleaf for $22.19. A very clean and bold signature with two cancellation slits just barely touching the last two letters of Burr's name. The presentation is excellent and the appearance striking! Burr was one of the more colorful politicians of the early Republic and is considered by some revisionist historians as one of the Founding Fathers. He was accused of intrigues involving the newly acquired Louisiana Territories and was tried, but acquitted, of treason. This check dates from the pivotal year of 1800 when Burr and Jefferson received an equal number of votes in the Electoral College (the understanding was that Burr was to be Vice-President), precipitating a crisis that culminated in the adopting of the Eleventh Amendment. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
