    Description

    Alexander Hamilton Letter Signed. One page, 7.75" x 9.75"; no place, no date. The letter reads: "I would advise you to close with Mr. Hobart in his own terms; only fix what is a reasonable time: say three four five or six months, the longer the better. Let a fair copy of the paper inclosed be signed with a receipt at bottom for the money in species. This may, if necessary be afterwards put more in form. Yr. A Hamilton." Addressed on the verso to "Mr. Watts."

    Condition: Flattened folds, with some areas of weakness (with bits of paper loss) that have been inexpertly repaired with tape. Traces of adhesive at right margin. Light soiling at folds.
