    Abraham Lincoln Friends & Associates Autograph Collection. Eight interesting items including: Dr. Francis Regnier- a friend and neighbor of Lincoln in New Salem (1837 ADS); Coleman Smoot- another New Salem resident and friend of Lincoln's (1837 DS); Edward Everett- shared the speaker's platform with Lincoln at the Gettysburg dedication (1862 ALS); Ward Hill Lamon- personal friend and often bodyguard to Lincoln (1859 ALS); James Rutledge- father of Ann Rutledge, organized the debating society where Lincoln developed his public speaking skills (1830 ADS, fair condition); Stephen T. Logan- Lincoln's second law partner (1852 ADS); and Edward D. Baker- Lincoln's friend and political associate, for whom Lincoln named his second-born (AES at bottom of an 1840 Stephen T. Logan ADS). An excellent grouping of people who admired and befriended the great Abraham Lincoln. Overall fine condition except as noted. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection.
