Abraham Clark Autograph Document Signed Thrice. Three pages, 12.25" x 15.75", "Colony of New Jersey", February 20, 1764. Clark was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Though his signature is rare today, he has signed this New Jersey act three times: once on the verso of the fourth (blank) page in the docketing ("Abra. Clark Junr. Clk") and twice in the text of page two ("Abraham Clark"). Clark served as a junior clerk for New Jersey's provincial assembly. The document is also signed on the verso of page three by New Jersey Governor William Franklin, the illegitimate son of Benjamin Franklin: "I assent to this Bill Enacting the same & order it to be Enrolled. [Signed] Wm. Franklin." This act is headed with, "An Act for the support of government of his Majestys Colony of New Jersey . . . to discharge the public Debts and Contingent Charges thereof." The document is bound at the top by a ribbon. Toned with minor dampstaining. It is fragile at the folds with some tape repairs thereat.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
