Aaron Burr Letter Signed, "A. Burr." One page, with integral address sheet, 7.75" x 9.75", [New York City?]; Tuesday morning, circa 1812-1831. Letter from Burr (1756-1836), former vice president of the U.S., to a Dr. Mitchell, probably Samuel Latham Mitchell (1764-1831), a prominent New York physician and naturalist, in which he writes, in part,

"Have the goodness to inform me by the bearer of this where Mr. Dickens may be found. Less it may not be in my power to see him in town, if you should happen to meet him, let him know that it will give me great pleasure to see him at dinner. My son in law Mr. Alston too, who leaves town tomorrow morning for Albany would be much gratified by an interview with him."

Condition: Letter has the usual folds, and is taped along crease; address sheet has residue of glue and tape where letter was once attached to another surface. Overall good.
