Aaron Burr Document Signed "Aaron Burr." One page, 6.5" x 2.75", signed check, New York, September 21st, 1789. This check was made out for fifteen pounds, and signed by Burr in the lower right corner. Aaron Burr is not remembered for his term as the third vice-president, his term as president of what was to become Princeton University, or his service in the Revolutionary War, but instead for his famous duel with Alexander Hamilton in which he killed Hamilton for slandering his name and speaking against him and his political aims. This act, combined with his later treason trial, dashed all hope for a return to politics. He ended his life as an attorney in rather humble surroundings.

The check is in very fine condition; the edges are worn and slightly torn. Accompanying the check is a portrait of Burr that has been cut from a book, good for a nice display. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
