[Woodrow Wilson Cabinet]. Joseph Daniels Document Signed and Robert Lansing Signature. The first, a one page naval commendation, signed by Secretary of the Navy Joseph Daniels and measuring 9.5" x 13.5", dated November 11, 1920, acknowledges the meritorious service of Lt. George E. Rumill, who "carried out a large number of hazarduous [sic] patrol flights in the vicinity of enemy coasts" during the First World War. Also included is the signature of Robert Lansing, Wilson's secretary of state, who signs this 7.5" x 11" sheet of paper, dated March 28, 1922. Both documents show spots of foxing. The commendation was previously rolled up and has one paperclip stain near the upper left corner.
