[Texas Supreme Court Document] Thomas Jefferson Green Autograph Document Signed "Thomas Green/ Clerk Sup. Court". One page, 8" x 13", June 7, 1850, Austin. This document, issued from the Texas Supreme Court, affirms a previous decision of the District Court of Fayette County. This Supreme Court decision was made while John Hemphill, who later served as a member of the Provisional Confederate Congress, was chief justice of the Texas Supreme Court.

During the Texas Revolution, Thomas Green (1814-1864) was a member of the company which operated the Twin Sisters (two six pounders sent by the citizens of Cincinnati to aid in the Texas Revolution) at the Battle of San Jacinto. He served as the state Supreme Court clerk from 1841 through 1861. Between court sessions he volunteered for military campaigns against Indians. Later during the Civil War, he was promoted to a Confederate brigadier general and was killed during the Red River Campaign. This age-toned document has separated at the center horizontal fold. It has been previously reattached with tape on the verso; other folds have been reinforced with tape. Contains an embossed Texas state seal in the bottom left corner. Very good.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
