Includes Tobias Lear (1762-1816) secretary to Washington, Letter Signed, "Tobias Lear" one page 7.75" x 7.5", Department of War, [Washington], September 14, 1815, noting the adjustments of "The Accounts of Capn. Samuel W. Butler late Pay Mater 3rd. Regt. Infy..." Small loss at right margin, else very good; Richard Varick (1753-1831) Aide-de-Camp to Washington, partly printed Document Signed "Rich. Varick Mayr" as Mayor of New York, one page, 5" x 7", New York, September 5, 1799 noting the posting of bail for a man " the suit of Alexander McDougall of a Plea of Trespass...". Chips at top margin, light toning, else very good; Benjamin Walker (1753-1818) Aide-de-Camp to Washington, manuscript Document Signed twice, "Ben Walker" one page, 6.5" x 8.25", no place given, November 27, 1789 attesting to the accuracy of a receipt. Remnants of a formerly affixed document at top right, else very good. Together, three pieces. A fine group. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
