Description[Counterfeit Currency] Robert King Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 7.75" x 9", St. Charles, April 9, 1860, concerning a "counterfit [Virginia] note" for $10. In the letter, King traces ownership of the note to those who owned it before the recipient of the letter, William King. Toned with separations along some folds.
The letter reads in part:
"I include a Virginia not here to you of ten Dollars which i received from you for Mrs. Blize & paid it to Harrison King & he has brought it back on Me a few Days back & sais it is counterfit note. he paid it out & it caim back on him."
