Including: 1) Nicholas Longworth Typed Letter Signed as Speaker of the House of Representatives "Nicholas Longworth", one page,8" x 10.5", on The Speaker's Rooms letterhead, Washington, December 16, 1927, to Professor Albert Johannsen, Chicago, with the original transmittal envelope. The speaker favors Johannsen's request for an autograph. Fine condition. 2) Hubert Work Autograph Letter Signed as Secretary of the Interior "Hubert Work", one page, 7" x 9", on Secretary of the Interior letterhead, Washington, December 23, 1924, to Mrs. Glover. Secretary Work writes Mrs. Glover encouraging words to bolster her after a recent serious health problem. Fine condition. 3) Frank B. Kellogg Typed Letter Signed as Secretary of State "Frank Kellogg", one page, 7" x 9", on his Secretary of State letterhead, Washington, December 26, 1928, to the Honorable Joseph C. Grew, American Ambassador, Constantinople, Turkey. The secretary sends his Christmas best wishes. Fine condition. 4) Dwight F. Davis Typed Letter Signed as Secretary of War "Dwight F. Davis", one page, 7.5" x 10.5", on War Department letterhead, Washington, October 15, 1925, to Mr. H. J. Davenport, Brooklyn, New York. The Secretary of War thanks Davenport for his letter of congratulations and thanks him for his work. Very good condition. 5) Harry S. New Autograph Note Signed as Postmaster General "Harry S. New", one page, 5.75" x 6.25", Washington, April 15, 1925, to Mr. Howard. Postmaster New acknowledges Mr. Howard's note of the previous day. Mounting remnants on the verso, else fine condition. 6) William M. Jardine Typed Letter Signed as Secretary of Agriculture "W. M. Jardine", one page, 7" x 9", on Secretary of Agriculture letterhead, Washington, March 12, 1928, to Senator Frank B. Willis. Jardine submits the Senator's recommendation for a delegate to the Eighth International Diary Congress. Very good condition. 7) John G. Sargent Typed Letter Signed as Attorney General "Jno. G. Sargent", one page, 7" x 9", on his Attorney General letterhead, Washington, December 22, 1927, to Representative Fred A. Britten, Washington. The Attorney General acknowledges receipt of Britten's request for an autograph for a constituent. Fine condition. 8) William M. Jardine Autograph Note Signed "W. M. Jardine", signed at the bottom of a printed copy of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, 6.5" x 9", Wichita, Kansas, February 17, 1938. The former Secretary of Agriculture writes fondly of Lincoln and his place in history. Very good condition.
