    [Abraham Lincoln]: Cabinet Members. Collection of ten [10] documents, including: 1) fragment of a letter with three lines and signature of William Dennison, 2) LS by Hugh McCulloch, Treasury Department letterhead, September 19, 1867, complying with an autograph request (repaired tear, not affecting text or signature), 3) a Gideon Welles LS, July 7, 1864 on Navy Department letterhead authorizing the release of some medical records (signed on the second page), 4) ALS by Caleb Smith, Washington, January 5, 1849, replying with an autograph request, 5) ALS by Simon Cameron, July 8, 1861, requesting immediate action on the appointment of two applicants, 6) ALS of Simon Cameron, January 27, 1846 transmitting the President's Message and promising to send a Committee of Patents document when ready, 7) ALS of Salmon Chase, Cincinnati, November 26, 1860, making excuses for not attending a Republican Jubilee, but expressing his "... warmest sympathies, for they are earnest, loyal and active...", 8) a 20-page pamphlet from 1863 containing Montgomery Blair's speech to the "Unconditional Union Meeting" in Rockville, inscribed at top to famous New York Herald publisher "James Gordon Bennett Esq. with the regards of M. Blair Nov. 2nd 1863", 9) album page signed "J. P. Usher Secy of Interior" and, 10) facing album pages (7 ¼" x 9 ½") with signatures of Stanton, Welles, Usher, Seward and Chase. Sold together with a book plate engraving of Lincoln and his Cabinet and an 1883 ALS by Salmon Chase's daughter, Kate, talking about the delayed delivery of a piano and the prospect of being personally serenaded by the song writer to whom she is writing.
