    Description

    Samuel Sewall Document Signed "Sam Sewall." One page, 8" x 4.5", January 2, 1687. Sewall witnesses a document detailing the execution of a will. He who would later play a major role in the Salem Witch Trials, for which he expressed regret some years after. Light wear to edges with toning throughout and a smoothed fold. Archival tape exists along the left edge. The document is bordered by archival paper, which has been carefully laid onto the document, likely with glue.
