    Rudyard Kipling Typed Letter Signed. Two pages, 5" x 8", Bath, England; January 19, 1931. In this letter Kipling discusses the medical treatment an unnamed woman, presumed to be his wife, has received. It reads in part: "...Melson tried both barrels. He gave her a little colchicum with the salycillic, and she reacted to it. But the main dependence now is sweating whatever it may be out of the system by these baths thrice a weekand [sic] by daily massage to keep the uric on the move. The results are beginning to show..." Signed in ink, "Rudyard Kipling."
