    Robert Frost Typed Poem "Mending Wall" Signed "Robert Frost." One page, 6.5" x 9.75" (sight), no place; no date. Signed by Frost at the bottom right margin in brown ink. The 44-line poem begins:

    "Something there is that doesn't love a wall,
    That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it,
    And spills the upper boulders in the sun;
    And makes gaps even two can pass abreast.
    The work of hunters is another thing;
    I have come after them and made repair
    Where they have left not one stone on a stone,
    But they would have the rabbit out of hiding,
    To please the yelping dogs. The gaps I mean,
    No one has seen them or heard them made,
    But at spring mending time we find them there."

    There is a minor spelling error in line 12, where the word should be "beyond" instead of "beyong." The poem has been matted and framed alongside a black and white image of Frost to the overall size of 18.25" x 15.25".

    The poem "Mending Wall" was first published in Frost's 1914 book North of Boston. It speaks of both the literal and figurative wall between neighbors and their properties, and it showcases Frost's ironic style and talent for creative symbolism. Due to the poem's themes concerning the walls that divide us, "Mending Wall" has become one of the most studied poems in modern literature, with multiple meanings and commentary being made by scholars.

    Condition: Light mail folds to the typed poem, with minor edge toning. Boldly signed.

    The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

    As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
