Robert E. Lee Signature. "R E Lee." Measures 3" x 2" (sight) and is doubled matted in dark wood and framed to an overall size of 25" x 20.75". Divided into two halves and framed with additional items.

The signature is featured on the left below a printed photograph of Lee (head only) and below which is a brass engraved plate which reads: "Robert E. Lee/(1807-1870)/Commanding General/Confederate States/of America."

The right half is topped by a Confederate Battle flag. Bellow the cloth are approximately seven strands of hair identified by a small engraved plate to its right reading: "Lock of Hair of/Gen Robert E Lee."

Signature is faded, but still legible. Handsomely presented and preserved using archival materials.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
