At the height of the Watergate scandal, Richard Nixon thanks Governor Pat Brown for his letter of support

Richard Nixon Typed Letter Signed "RN" as President. One page, on White House letterhead, 7" x 10.5", Washington DC, May 24, 1973. President Nixon writes to Edmund "Pat" Brown regarding the Watergate scandal, in response to Brown's letter of support. In part: "Dear Pat: Of all the letters I have received in recent weeks, yours had special meaning for me, coming as it does from one with your long experience in political and public life... the developments of these past months have posed a very great test of our Administration. But as I have repeatedly stated, we shall not fail to bring this entire matter to a full and just resolution. At the same time, we will not be deterred from working toward the goals the American people elected us to achieve. Your message of support and goodwill at this time renews my confidence that we will meet this test. RN."

Of course, as events unfolded, the President was not able to meet the test. Although he denied any knowledge of or involvement in the scandal, on August 8, 1974, President Nixon resigned his office else risk certain impeachment. Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope and a carbon copy of Pat Brown's April 26, 1973 letter to Nixon. Nixon's letter bears a faint paper clip stain at upper left, but is otherwise sharp and clean.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
