    Project Mercury Spacecraft Signed Color Poster, 11.5" x 21.5". Signed beneath the spacecraft's symbol and flight information by each of the six Mercury astronauts who flew in the 1961-1963 program: "Alan Shepard," "Gus Grissom," "J.H. Glenn, Jr.," "Scott Carpenter," "Wally Schirra," and "Gordon Cooper." The image is captioned "Mercury Spacecraft/ Designed and built by McDonnell, St. Louis/ for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration." Pictured in color is the Mercury capsule with the escape tower attached on top. Lightly soiled. Perhaps the rarest and most desirable of all signed Project Mercury memorabilia. Framed to 13.5" x 23.5". From the collection of renowned former physical trainer of the astronauts Joe Garino. This lot is accompanied by a signed certificate of authentication from Garino verifying its provenance.
